About Us

• Highfield Park is an 82 acre park on the edge of St Albans.
• Set up 25 years ago following the closure of two hospitals.
• The park has a mix of woodland, parkland, sports pitches, orchard and allotments.
• The park is managed by a charity Highfield Park Trust.

Role

• We are looking for a Park Team Leader to lead and work as part of a small team supervising activities on a daytoday basis in the park.
• Ideally you should have previous parks / countryside management / sports turf supervisory experience and worked in a similar role working with park users and contractors.
• Leading and supporting a small team of staff you will be responsible for the completion of their work and report to the park manager.
• 37 hours a week
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• Full driving licence essential
• Certificates of competence in spraying and chainsaws would be an advantage

Up to £30,326.00 per year

Education:

• A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

- relevant: 2 years (required)

• Pesticides and Chainsaw qualifications (preferred)
