QA Engineer in Test - London, United Kingdom - Matt Burton

MBA are proud to partner one of London's most innovative technology organisations in their search for a QA Engineer in Test on a permanent basis.
Overview:
You'll have a passion for improving quality, some web testing experience with exposure to test automation and looking to grow within the company.
Location:
Office based 2 days a week in central London, the rest remotely working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and enhance the automation test scenarios
- Create, maintain and enhance automation tests written in code
- Functional testing of twoweekly releases using a mixture of manual and automation tests to ensure quick turnaround in a fast pace Agile environment
- Gain an understanding of the user needs
- Discussing issues found during testing with the developers and documenting bugs in issue tracking tool where required
- Some exploratory testing sessions to monitor regression impact and overall quality of releases
- Documenting of exploratory testing sessions as a basis for decision making
- Documenting processes and features along with other administrative tasks where required
Skills / Person:
- Min. 1 years' relevant experience in software testing exposure to test automation
- Basic coding ability (Java)
- Understanding of the software development process, preferably in a web based (SAAS) environment
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
- Working knowledge of using issue tracking software (e.g. JIRA)
- Understanding of User Experience design and Web Content Accessibility
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic working knowledge of Test Automation (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium)
- Basic understanding of HTML, XML and SQL a bonus
- Basic understanding in the use of database querying tools and version control a bonus
