Salary:
£38,734 +


What you'll be doing:


  • Ensuring that there is timely and consistent advice, support, coaching and governance of environmental standards and legislation to support activities across the organisation
  • To support in the development and embedding of robust and compliant environmental practice within the Submarines business and support the SHE improvement programme through the maintenance of the BAE environmental management system
  • Leading and delivering key risk reduction and improvement projects / activities
  • Ensure professional and accountable interface with all stakeholders including all functional leads, regulators, contractors, and customers
  • To ensure all applicable aspects of the Safety, Health and Environment Operational Plan and Strategy is delivered to schedule across all submarine sites
  • Providing support to environmental audits, investigations and producing comprehensive reports using root cause analysis

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Practical experience of supporting and maintaining environmental management systems.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills including stakeholder interaction, report writing and investigative skills

Desirable:


  • Worked in a regulated / heavily regulated environment
  • Proven background of undertaking audit and investigations and the ability to deliver training / coaching

Essential Qualification:


  • NEBOSH General/Environmental Certificate or equivalent Environmental qualification / NVQ Level 3 in Environmental Management
