Job Summary:
Provide advisory support for UK/RoW broker matters; assist with the drafting and negotiating of TOBAs and other contracts; conduct legal research
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary Compliance contact for UK/Row broker compliance advisory queries.
- Review, draft and negotiate terms of business agreements (TOBAs) with brokers.
- Contribute to project work aiming to modernize broker contracting processes.
- Advise on due diligence for acquisitions, new program business, third party administrators, vendors and new products.
- Provide advice and support to claims teams and underwriters on ad hoc regulatory issues.
- Review and advise on facilities, proposals, marketing agreements, RFPs, NDAs, producer agreements, manuals, policies and other business documents.
- Conduct legal research on a variety of insurance and business issues.
- Develop, draft, update and provide guidance on corporate policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Perform other functions related to regulatory compliance at the direction of management.
- Assist with management of outside legal counsel and other service providers to ensure effective and costefficient services.
- Conduct internal investigations as directed by management.
- Report to boards and committees as required.
- Participate in ad hoc Compliancerelated projects.
- Take on global compliance responsibilities as necessary.

- Comply with any specific responsibilities necessary for your role as outlined by your line manager, the Culture & People or assurance teams (compliance, risk, internal audit) and ensure you keep up to date with developments in these areas. This may include, amongst others, Beazley's underwriting control standards, Beazley's claims control standards, other Beazley standards and customer relationship management.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.
- LPC required.
- Previous experience working in the insurance industry.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to work well in teams, or alone
- Highly motivated with the ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory environment
- Has a proven ability to effectively manage people, either as a direct line manager, or a project manager leading others
- Demonstrable ability to provide relevant, accurate and timely management information
- Experience in performing regulatory research with a strong ability to review, analyse and evaluate statutes, regulations and other materials to provide targeted, timely and wellcrafted guidance to the business
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
