Payroll Specialist - 12 Months

£45,000-£50,000

Office is based in Oxfordshire - can work fully remote

Wade Macdonald are looking for an outstanding payroll professional who has over five years' experience in payroll within the finance team, you will work for an excellent company who offer hybrid and/or fully remote working.

You will need to be available atshort notice.

The role
Process monthly and weekly payroll
checking the accuracy of SMP, SPP and SSP payments
Pro-rata & Salary Advance calculations
Working with external payroll and pension providers
Resolve payroll queries independently
Assist Branch Managers with queries related to payroll
Understanding of HMRC tax codes and ability to explain how they impact employee's pay
Maintaining accurate back-ups and payroll documents
Performing Pension reconciliation
Payroll reports reconciliation
Monitoring and improving payroll processes

What you will need to be successful
Up to date knowledge of UK Payroll legislation and at least five years working in a payroll environment
Experience of payroll processing as part of a finance team
Strong communication skills & ability to provide on-going support to managers and employees
Advance Excel skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
