Key Responsibilities
To achieve this purpose, the Health & Safety, Environmental Consultant will be responsible for the following:
1. Providing advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to clients.
2. Undertaking Health, Safety and environmental risk assessments, gap analysis and audits for clients.
3. Undertake fire risk assessments, compile emergency evacuation plans and PEEPS for client's premises.
4. Maintain a high degree of health & safety and environmental competency. Continue to develop your working knowledge of relevant current practices, codes, and guides, through personal reading, participation in CPD events, online forums, and participation of relevant training courses
5. Supporting any Hannaford Consultancy, or client project as they occur.
6. Delivering a range of other services to our clients, including Health & Safety policy & procedure review, risk assessments, environmental initial reviews.
7. Develop and maintain excellent client and colleague relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
8. Monitoring the management of health & safety, and environmental risk in client operations.
9. Completing thorough written reports against the client service level agreement.
10. Meeting Hannaford Consultancy quality and performance standards.
11. Supporting clients in Iso 14001 & 45001 system development and auditing.

General Responsibilities
1. Comply with individual responsibilities for health and safety in the workplace including taking action to reduce the risk to self and others and contributing to the maintenance of a health and safe working environment.
2. Ensure that all duties and services are provided in accordance with Hannaford Consultancy's standards, policies, and procedures.
Person Specification
Competence
- NEBOSH Health and Safety General Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety, or FC1, Fire Safety and Risk Management, and FC2, Practical Fire Risk Assessment, or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in Food Safety is desirable, but not essential.
- Holding the status of Tech IOSH or higher is desirable, but not essential.
- Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Personal Requirements
- Ability to hold an autonomous role with excellent time management.
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to complete allocated tasks.
- High levels of literacy, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of producing and checking reports to a high standard.
- Able to adjust style and approach to fit the culture of each client.
- Strong influencing ability.
- Problem solving and solutionsbased approach.
- Requirement to travel and undertake occasional overnight stays.
- Takes pride in their appearance and presentation
Salary:
£36,439.00-£39,112.00 per year
