Diversity & Inclusion Manager


Are you an experienced diversity and inclusion specialist in search for an exciting new job opportunity? If so, London Fire Brigade, one of the largest Central Government agencies based in London are looking to recruit a Diversity & Inclusion Manager ona 3-month contract (with possibility of further extensions) to join their team.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday and offers hybrid work, 2 to 3 days work from home.


Purpose of the role:


Key responsibilities:


  • Overseeing and improving the equality impact assessment process for the Brigade and running regular training and development for staff in this area.
  • Designing and delivering inclusion strategies and training packages to provide leadership, coaching and guidance to the respective Brigade equality staff groups, and other staff as required.
  • Overseeing the EIA process for the Brigade and running regular training and development for staff in this area.
  • Advisoing departments on their public sector equality duty obligations when decision making or implementing projects, policies, or procedures for their impact on people with protected characteristics.
  • Leading specific diversity and inclusion projects across area of expertise, including developing strategy and policy, and delivering training
  • Assisting with the development of a strategic approach to ensure that the Brigade develops best practice and responds to issues of discrimination. The London Fire Commissioner is the fire and rescue authority for London.
  • Working with others to improve processes and systems across the Brigade from a diversity and inclusion perspective
  • Managing the inclusion element of briefings/papers to service various stakeholder meetings including City Hall, HMICFRS, NFCC and the Togetherness Programme Board ensuring they are updated with to uptodate information and data building networks with othersto share best practice
