We're offering a unique opportunity to join the People and Culture Office at the Scottish Parliament, where you will develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to set you up for a career in HR.


The office is responsible for providing a full range of services to support managers, colleagues, MSPs in their role as employers, and their staff, in making the Parliament a great place to work.

To achieve this, we work in partnership to develop people practices, encompassing diversity and inclusion throughout on areas including recruitment, health and wellbeing, onboarding, and induction, learning and development, talent management, employee experience, employee relations and administration.


You'll have a CIPD accredited qualification (such as a Post-graduate Degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management) with Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).

You may recently have graduated, or you may be working in an HR administrative or support capacity, newly qualified and keen to progress.


You'll demonstrate a high level of personal credibility with excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
