The role:_

Are you interested in the top trends and news around climate action and resilience? Do you have the drive and skills to convey key messages in this space to a wider audience?

The Global Parametrics team is looking for a communications intern. This position will be a part time paid internship, based in London.


The role will contribute to communications tasks including but not limited to: writing and editing content, tracking web and social media analytics, planning and posting social media content (LinkedIn, Twitter and website), taking part in engagements with media, digital asset management and other communications and administrative support tasks as assigned.

Requirements of this role:_

  • Draft and post various social media content on GP's digital channels including the website, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Planning and contributing to social media calendars.
  • Contribute to social media qualitative and quantitative analytics to gauge success of posts and campaigns.
  • Work with GP sales and marketing team to identify and align with viable climate resilience and insurtech trends, ideas and growth patterns in the space.
  • Creating GPowned content including blog posts, articles and press releases.
  • Assisting in engagement with other press and social media teams at partner organisations.
  • General administrative and communications support as assigned.

Qualifications_**:


  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)
  • Knowledge of Wordpress is an asset
  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/ InDesign/ Photoshop is highly desired.
  • Creative mindset, ability to work independently
  • Keen interest in climate resilience, climate finance and impact
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and financial terms to a wider audience
  • Real interest in pursuing a career in communications/ marketing

Start Date:
February 2023


Timeframe:
the position will span a minimum three months


Hours:

this is a part-time role estimated 10-15 hours a week, requiring 1-2 meetings a week in the London office but the ability to work remotely.


Compensation:
£15/hour

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
