The Content Specialist role

  • The Content Specialist role focuses on best practice within the areas of idea and content generation. This would be from basic pitches all the way through to longform articles, messaging frameworks, and white papers for your clients.


As Content Specialist they are looking for someone who is confident with writing tasks for media pitches, opinion articles and synopses, advertorials, press releases, speaker speeches, white papers to deliver thought-provoking, compelling and engaging content.


You will ideally:

  • Know how to produce coherent, freeflowing easy to read content
  • Have a good understanding of what is news, and hot topics that will generate traction through paid, earned, social, and owned media
  • Be keen to undertake desk research as required to build context/evidence/proof
  • Be able to use the appropriate tone of voice and writing style, to ensure content is 'on brand' and 'on message'
  • Be able to build relationships with both clients and related specialists
  • Take responsibility for the targeting and placement of content.

The Ideal Content Specialist

The Content Specialist will ideally have/be:

  • Experience working with the media, maybe as a journalist or pitching stories to the media
  • Fantastic grammar, and proofreading and editing experience
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • A team player, become a goto specialist in the business
  • Develop standards, systems, and best practices for content creation, distribution, retrieval, and repurposing.
