We are looking for a Logistics Administrator to join the Procurement team, based in Aberdeen.


The Logistics Administrator will support the Logistics Coordinator in daily administration tasks and to cover the Logistic Coordinator when on annual leave.

To assistant with preparation and delivery of ICR products to domestic locations. Responsible for making sure stipulated supplies, stock, materials, packages, and /or products documentation processed and filed correctly and efficiently.

This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

The main tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries within the UK to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
  • Optimise transportation where possible, by checking MMP (material movement planner) regular for changes and updating the schedule board.
  • Work with the team to prepares loads for local shipment.
  • Address any QC issues with appropriate functions.
  • Liaise with Business Units to ensure successful completion of transport & shipping requirements with progress reporting.
  • Manages activities throughout the logistics order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes through continue improvement cycle.
  • Assist business units with Chamber of Commerce
  • Provide local shipping quotes to the Proposal team/ business units.
  • Monitor and enforces procedures regarding import/export customs clearance and export control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To arrange / ensure that all paperwork is in place for the shipment of products and equipment.
  • To arrange for all local transportation in a planned and timely manner to meet transportation deadlines.
  • To ensure that shipping documentation are processed and filed correctly and efficiently.
  • Amin support with import/export customs clearance and export control

Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:

  • Experience and understanding of logistics.
  • Ability to work deadlines in an accurate, consistent, and structured manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to other team members
  • Ability to follow/comply with procedures and recognised working practices

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: - 9 months


Salary:
£25,280.00 per year
