To undertake, independently or with supervision if required, a comprehensive assessment of the lymphoedema patients and use sound knowledge of the physical and psychological effects of lymphoedema, reflective practice and evidence based clinical reasoning to identify the patients physical, psychological and psychosocial needs including people with diverse or complex presentations and multi-pathologies.

To undertake, independently or with supervision if required, a comprehensive assessment of the lymphoedema patients in order to identify, discuss and agree with the patients treatment goals and plans demonstrating an understanding of the patients goals in deciding or reviewing treatment options including people with diverse or complex presentations and multi-pathologies.

To undertake, independently or with supervision if required, a comprehensive assessment of the lymphoedema patients in order to establish the patients informational needs, and use appropriate materials to ensure optimum understanding of the causes of the condition, its management and anticipated outcomes of treatment including people with diverse or complex presentations and multi-pathologies.

To critically evaluate a service users response to treatment and adapt management programmes accordingly.
