Are you a senior Supply Chain professional looking for a new role that will give you the opportunity to be part of a business Senior Leadership Team?

Do you have experience of warehouse management systems, S&OP processes, Lean and Continuous Improvement programmes?

Due to an internal promotion we are excited to be recruiting for a people focused leader to join us in the role of Head of Supply Chain.

With 5 direct reports and responsibility for an overall team of circa 95 people working across two sites, you will provide strategic leadership for the Premier Nutrition supply chain function which encompasses Production and Warehousing, Customer Service, Planning, Engineering and Health and Safety.

What you'll be doing:

Ensuring a safe working environment for our people and positive service delivery for our customers.
As a member of the leadership team, grow the business
Create and implement supply chain strategy in line with business 5 year plan
Optimise warehouse management and logistics
Develop our S&OP capability and processes.
Work closely with internal and third party software /system providers to optimise and future proof our operating architecture Actively sponsor our Everyday Excellence improvement programme

What you'll bring:

Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental good practice, quality assurance and control expectations in a large manufacturing business
Experience of delivering a high level of customer service across a complex and varied multisite manufacturing environment.
Ability to think strategically and work with the leadership team to develop a Supply Chain strategy aligned to the business 5 year plan
Experience of working in and leading teams within a Lean/Continuous improvement (CI) work environment.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels across key stakeholder groups
High leadership and people management skills

Location

Our Premier Nutrition site has two manufacturing facilities close to each other, one in Rugeley and the other in Fradley Park.

The sites have a great team that work collaboratively to ensure that they get things done on time and to a high standard.

You can see from speaking with them how passionate they are about animal nutrition and positively impacting the wider environment.

As a Senior Leader in the business we would like you to be at site - 3 days a week mixed with home working.

Some travel to the AB Agri head office in Peterborough or other sites may be required.
