Fantastic opportunity for Horticulture and Landscaping Apprentices at established Hampshire Landscaping Company.

The Company:

You will be based out of our Head Office at Monxton Nurseries.

Established in 1970, KBL works with a huge variety of different customers including local authorities, landscape architects, commercial developments, and private clients.

At KBL we believe our most important resource is our staff, we expect you to work to consistently high standards, we insist on safe working practices and provide all required training, personal protective equipment, and uniform.

Your apprenticeship will be with Sparsholt college on a day release basis, you will attend college one day per week during term time for approximately 2 years.

At Sparsholt you will learn valuable horticulture skills including:

Health & Safety
Use and maintain nonpowered and handheld powered equipment
Use and maintain pedestrian controlled equipment
Environment protection
Plant identification and nomenclature, Latin and common
Vegetation control
Soil science and cultivation
Plant health

The Person:

You will need to be hardworking and enjoy working outdoors in all weathers as part of varying sized teams. Ideally you will have your own driving licence or a reliable way to commute to our nurseries in Monxton.

You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of horticultural and landscaping duties under the guidance of your supervisor, including, seeding, planting, mulching, grass cutting and weeding.

You should be able to cooperate in a good-natured manner in the face of changing conditions.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English - Grade C (4) _Essential _
GCSE or equivalent Maths - Grade C (4) _Essential _
Other Full Driving License - _Highly beneficial_
