Night Shift Train Cleaner at Doncaster Railport


Contract Length: 6 Month Initial Contract with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.


We have a new opening for skilled & experienced hands-on individuals, to join a leading train operating company as a Train Cleaner joining their Train Presentation team.

You will perform a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are meeting the required cleanliness standards and are suitable for passenger service.

About the role:

As a Train Cleaner you will assist with cleaning the interior of Class 68 locomotives and Mark 5 Coaching stock, and you shall be tasked with interior train cleaning tasks such as deep cleans and full cleans (touch point cleaning, sanitising (with particular attention to sanitizing the driver's cab, hoovering, mopping, removing of rubbish & waste, ensuring toilets are clean and exterior train cleaning tasks such as nose end cleaning, hand-bashing, fuelling, sanding, and graffiti removal.


We're seeking active, reliable, and ambitious individuals with great work ethics ideally from a background of industrial cleaning, warehousing and manual labour to join the train presentation team to perform a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are ready & presentable for passenger service.


Requirements:


A highly desired & skilled role that requires you to demonstrate reliability, effective communication skills, and flexibility to work permanent nights shifts Monday to Friday between 21:00pm - 06:00am and Saturdays and Sundays between 22:00pm - 06:00am, including weekends on a roster basis with 4 on 2 off followed by 3 on 2 off pattern.


This role will require applicants to attend work on-time, be able and willing to work in all weathers, prove to be a hard-working individual with a great work record.


Rate of Pay

  • Standard Hours (40 hours standard per week) £13.35 p/h
  • Pay increase after 12 weeks of work as part of Agency Workers Rights £14.25 p/h
  • Onsite training will be provided.

What Happens Next?


As part of the interview process, you shall need to complete a short, pre-recorded video which will be submitted to our client to review and if successful in being offered the role, you shall need to provide your eligibility to work in the UK and commute to Doncaster for a Medical and drug & alcohol test and Wolverhampton for training purposes.
