Description

Cherish Children's Care has an exciting opportunity for Senior Residential Childcare Practitioners to join our team at our new children's home in Oswaldtwistle area.

We are looking to recruit
Senior Residential Childrens Practitioners who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people from within our communities.

Cherish Childrens Care specialise in providing support to children and young people who may have a range of complex needs including emotional and behavioural issues or who may have found it difficult at their previous setting whether this be family, foster care or residential care.

Our therapeutic homes provide a nurturing environment for young people to feel safe and to achieve their own personal life goals.

Working alongside the Registered Manager and the management team you will support the day to day running of the home ensuring all of our children and young people remain safe, happy and well cared for.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new home and in shaping the service that we provide to the children and young people in our care.

  • Level 3 NVQ Children or equivalent (desirable)
  • 6 months experience working within a children's residential setting (required)
  • Proven ability to lead a team of Support Workers in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • To be selfmotivated and task orientated and show strong leadership skills
  • Can demonstrate confidence in liaising with Social Workers, Police, LADO and families
  • The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire the young people in your care
  • The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally

In return we offer real management progression through our Management Training Programme and Coaching; a competitive salary package including sleeps and pension contribution and the opportunity to help change the lives of some of our most vulnerable children and young people.
