We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant providing support to the Chief Accountant. This role would suit someone wishing to start or already in the early stages of a career in Finance. Full training will be given together with an opportunity to develop skills across all areas of the accounting function.

Following a successful probationary period you will then work towards an appropriate study package. You will have strong organisational skills and be able to multitask efficiently.

In addition to this you will be able to communicate confidently with a wide range of individuals on a daily basis.

You will be joining a small department so you need to be the type of person who can mix well with people and have a flexible approach.

You will have GCSE in English and Maths at Grade C (level 4 or above) and excellent IT skills.

Pay will be dependent upon experience


Main Functions:

Ø Sage Payroll

Ø Supplier reconciliations and resolve queries

Ø Supplier payment

Ø Expense claims

Ø Petty cash

Ø Sales invoicing

Ø Assist in preparation of month end accruals and pre-payments

Ø Assist with preparation of management accounts.

Ø Time sheet entry/analysis

Ø Accurate coding of invoices

Ø Efficient payment of suppliers

Ø Efficient and accurate provision of monthly stock figures

Ø General administration

Ø Providing accounts information to internal departments.

Other Accounts duties as directed by your line manager to be included.
