Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced Wire & Cable Assemblies Inspector to work in a fast-moving production environment.

Full Time, 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday - 7:00am - 5:15pm


Responsibilities

  • To work as part of a team to inspect and help produce complex Cable assemblies and Box Build projects.
  • To work as instructed by the Line Manager to ensure that customer delivery targets are achieved.
  • Follow set processes and suggest improvements if necessary.
  • Ensure high quality products are produced.
  • Optimise the use of space and tooling to constantly improve efficiency and quality.
  • Provide feedback to the Line Manager regarding issues that may arise with products.

Qualifications
.IPC-A-620 certification


Experience

  • Experience of reading wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • Experience within the Cable / Box build industry essential.

Skills/Responsibilities
.Ability to inspect builds to IPC-620 standard

  • Ability to carry out hands on work, both electrical and mechanical.
  • Ability to use crimp tools, soldering irons and various hand tools.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from Line Managers with a willing, flexible and 'can do' attitude.
  • Willing to learn and progress.

Structure


The postholder will work under the supervision of the Production Manager but will also be expected to work under their own initiative.

There is a need for excellent communication and continued maintenance of relationships with all staff.
