Description

The role of the Compliance Officer will be to ensure full compliance and continuous improvement of the company supply chain.

This will be conducted through review and management of operational processes and through the perpetual audit of our suppliers (agencies).The compliance officer will be required to evaluate and develop the company audit process to safeguard the business and ensure that they have a supply chain that fully meets and complies with all relevant regulatory, legislative and internal requirements.

It would be an advantage to have worked in a compliance role with a service industry particularly within the recruitment/employment or temporary staff industries


Responsibilities:


  • Reviewing and designing compliance and audit processes depending on client, category, sector etc
  • Performing audits and compliance checks on all suppliers in perpetuity
  • Managing audit and compliance failures and enacting corrective measures to continued compliance
  • Supporting suppliers with guidance, advice and training on compliance requirements
  • Performing risk assessments to identify, understand and minimise any areas of risk within the supply chain or through processes
  • Carrying out root cause analysis where appropriate (i.e. areas of systemic compliance failure)
  • Maintaining and developing a high level of knowledge in the laws and regulations that govern recruitment and surrounding activity
  • Reviewing and developing policies as required
  • Creation of regular reports on compliance, both internally and to customers and suppliers
  • Education of the wider team on regulations and compliance standards

Core activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Auditing suppliers both remotely and in person (the role will require travel to supplier locations across the UK)
  • Design and review of audit and compliance process
  • Managing all auditing and compliance reporting
  • Offering training and support to suppliers on compliance requirements
  • Exceptionally high levels of attention to detail
  • Strong process driven approach
  • Confident communicator with a range of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Confident working independently and managing workload
  • Strong reporting abilities both verbally and written
  • Highly proficient Microsoft office and data analysis
