ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement Team.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring the highest quality components, materials, and services required for our antenna production and related projects.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to understand project requirements and ensure that the procurement process aligns with our company's goals and standards.


PRIMARY DUTIES:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and quality management systems to ensure they meet our stringent standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and provide valuable input during the supplier selection process.
  • Coordinate with production planning and inventory teams to expedite and optimise material availability and minimise lead times.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any qualityrelated issues promptly.
  • Regularly update and maintain procurement documentation and records to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Review material demand requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled in line with production requirements, reviewing, negotiating and issuing purchase orders and making required changes to documents, schedule and price.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:


  • Strong administration and organisation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, with attention to detail essential.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented, fastpaced environment.
  • Experience within a Supply Chain environment preferable.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices preferable.
  • Familiarity with multiple inhouse systems, specifically ERP or MRP systems preferred.
  • A sound understanding of financial concepts in relation to evaluating supplier proposals, identifying costsaving opportunities, and resolving invoice queries.
  • Ability to review data to make informed decisions and prioritise workload.
  • Capacity to negotiate favourable supplier terms.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers and attend industry events.
