Description

PPS is a joinery manufacturer and fit out contractor based in Stockport.
We have a broad customer portfolio and most of our work is repeat business from satisfied customers. As a company we strive to exceed all competition on quality, value and service
We produce Retail Point of Sale Counters, Office Furniture, Office Desks, Laminated Doors, solid surface worktops etc
We also offer CNC cutting and edgebanding services
We are looking for a workshop based experienced Bench Hand Joiner

Experience / Knowledge / Skills required:

Must have at least 5 year experience as a time-served joiner,
Must have clean driving licence
Ideally experienced in cabinet making and assembling, firedoor glazing, laminating
Must have worked in a similar manufacturing environment
Experience in working with solid surface is desirable, but not essential
Experience of handtool use as well as woodworking machinery is essential
Capable of working from drawings when required and producing material to a high standard
The ability to work accurately and methodically whilst meeting deadlines
An excellent eye for detail
Be capable of recognising problems and developing solutions
Require mínimal supervision and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Adhere to safe working practices at all times
Good timekeeping and attendance record

Basic information:

38.5 hours a week, 8.00am 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, pm on Friday
1 hour unpaid lunch Monday to Thursday (20 mins morning break, 30 mins lunch and 10 min afternoon break) and 30 minute unpaid break on Friday
Any overtime is paid at a flat rate
28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, 5 to be taken at Christmas shut down
Auto enrolment pension

Salary:
£14.00-£19.00 per hour
