WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a responsible bank, we're committed to managing our risks.

You'll play a key role in this, joining an established team and providing oversight of Line 1 and Line 2 credit stewardship.

You'll produce accurate analysis and reporting of Risk information - supporting and presenting findings to senior management.

It will be down to you to effectively support and deliver against the Risk Controls scope and other projects and contribute to raisingthe bar on managing credit risk.

What you'll be doing

  • Completing complex analysis / investigation and delivering accurate reporting of key metrics against tolerances to highlight trends.
  • Escalating material issues in a timely manner and working with Line 1 on formulation of action plans to mitigate potential risks.
  • Identifying system / process inefficiencies and weaknesses and helping drive through improvements.
  • Monitoring and promoting adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant external regulation.
  • Supporting the implementation of an appropriate risk controls framework, contributing to 'best in class' practices.

What you'll bring:


  • Experience in a corporate and commercial / wholesale banking environment, using strong analysis skills and the ability to articulate respective findings to stakeholders.
  • Accuracy in reporting using excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.) and a persistent approach to raising standards and embedding risk controls.

It would be nice for you to have:

  • Successful delivery in an analysis role of similar complexity and level.
  • Knowledge of SAS, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Experience of working with big data environments.
  • Knowledge of nCino / Salesforce.
  • An understanding of the regulatory landscape having an impact on the portfolio

What else you need to know:

  • This role can be based in any of the Santander office locations outside of London.
  • Hybrid working pattern between home and the office.
