Are you and experienced Production Planner within Manufacturing? If so, our client is a leading manufacturing business who specialise in delivering precision components for a variety of industries.


Production Planner:


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and produce a balanced manufacturing schedule to achieve customer delivery dates and internal metrics.
  • Plans to ensure alignment and publish weekly:
    5 different manufacturing areas:
  • Review and report achieved production levels and weekly adherence to schedule
  • Analyse plant capacity and demonstrated production data to understand and mitigate any potential bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate the daily production meetings and line walk.
  • Proactively working with Purchasing Department to understand material availability and respond to short term shortages to ensure production continuity and efficiency.
  • Work with department Supervisors to troubleshoot problems that occur during production that may impact the plan, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions.
  • Prepare and present monthly production reports (OTIF, Schedule adherence, Capacity constraints etc.).
  • Monitor yield figures and update SAP to ensure that scrap and inventory targets are adhered to.
  • General maintenance of SAP data, incorporating an active role in ensuring master data accuracy
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Production Control Manager.

Essential Skills/Experience required:


  • High level of Excel proficiency
  • Manufacturing background
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Ability to implement new systems
  • Proactive and cando attitude
  • Comfortable spending >20% of time on shop floor with supervisors/team leaders
  • SAP experience beneficial but not essential
