Warehouse Supervisor
Due to continued growth in a family run business, we are looking to recruit an experienced hands-on Warehouse Supervisor with genuine opportunities to progress.
Preferential Criteria:
- Battery/charger knowledge over a range of technologies
- 5 GCSEs Grade C and above including Maths and English
- Good proven IT skills and knowledge of Office software
- Ability to learn new tasks, systems & procedures hit the ground running
- Selfmanagement able to prioritise without fluster
- Ability to communicate strongly at all levels both written and verbally.
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software
Responsible for:
Warehouse Team and Van Driver(s)
Role & Responsibilities:
Supervise the following processes ensuring that all procedures are followed.
- Goods In
- Taking and checking in delivery of goods to ensure goods are received correctly and in good condition.
- Goods Out
- Picking and checking orders for dispatch to customers. You will be required to double check the accuracy of all goods despatched.
- Wrapping, strapping and palletising products for despatch ensuring that all goods despatched meet the company's high standards.
- Ensuring the warehouse and work areas are maintained to a high standard i.e., cleanliness/tidiness.
- Take responsibility for warranties and returns in conjunction with the technical specialist (testing/reports/logs).
- Ensuring stock is at optimal voltages at all times and is available for despatch and recharging if required.
- Enforcing company health and safety procedures ensuring all company risk assessments are followed, H&S checks are made and recorded and staff are wearing the correct PPE for the job.
- Entering orders for dispatch onto transport portals when required (currently controlled by the office).
- Stock rotation to ensure oldest stock is despatched first (FIFO), perpetual inventory counts are recorded, and stock take is accurate to ensure stock accuracy.
- Identify nonstock items and place orders for pallet wrap and other related accessories.
- Comply with ISO9001/14001 and Safe Contractor systems ensuring that procedures are always followed.
- Ensuring 2v tanks are built to the correct standard and any required components are fitted and once complete that the necessary checks and documents are created to complete the build.
- Alter charger settings and fit components when required then test for accuracy.
- Ensuring that the fleet of vans and plant equipment are maintained in a good condition, all checks are completed, and any faults reported.
- General warehouse duties & housekeeping.
- Any other duties (flexibility required small team).
