Full-time, Permanent
£18,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
Work Location:
Office based-Kidderminster.
Duties;
- Seek out high quality ingredients/ products to ensure our customers needs are met.
- Works well to deadlines and is organised.
- Communicates well with other members of the team and keeps them up to date with any cost changes.
- Efficient in meeting the demand of price enquiries from the sales team.
- Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Looks for ways the company can save money/cut expenses.
- Monitors stock levels
- Keeps up to date with market changes and negotiates with supplies to ensure APT gets the best deal.
- Can use computers to put purchase orders on using sage 200 (sage training available)
- Has industry knowledge to know which suppliers are most reliable and reasonably priced.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Requirements;
- Someone who has purchasing experience for at least 2 years.
- Good interpersonal skills able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers, communication is key at all times
- IT skills when using outlook, sage and act (training is available)
- Able to fully understand customer needs and demands (e.g. price, quality, availability)
- Strong time management skills
- Works well in a team environment
