We are looking for new tutors to start in September, preferably with experience working with young people with SEND (special educational needs / disabilities).

Tuition locations:
usually in person at student's home / online tuition.

Pay:
£25 - £40 per hour (depending on experience).

The role:

This role will involve providing tuition to young people referred to Anchor Tutors by schools, Local Authorities or carers/parents.

  • Planning each session of teaching,
  • Providing engaging sessions which meet their needs,
  • Completing termly lesson reports and providing feedback on progress.

Tutor requirements:


Desirable...

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications and/or Learning Support Qualification;
  • 1+ years teaching/tutoring experience;
  • Experience working with young people with additional / Special Educational Needs (ASD, dyslexia, PMLD, SEMH etc.);
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes re: young people;
  • Enhanced DBS with no recorded restrictions/convictions.

Essential...

  • Two professional references;
  • UK Right to Work.
