Careers Service, Student Experience Services

Full time: 35 hours per week
**Open-ended: permanent


The Opportunity:


The Careers Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support within our busy and friendly Employer Team.

We work with employers to help promote their opportunities to students, and establish the University of Edinburgh as a university of choice for global talent.


Annually, we publish 1000s of vacancies, run online and in-person large-scale careers events (7 Fairs or festivals), and host and promote 100s of employer events.

This role supports effective delivery of these services to employers including administrative duties such as processing invoices, statistical reporting, and promotion of opportunities.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to part-time or flexible working patterns. The Careers Service offers Hybrid Working that combines a mix of regular on-campus and remote working.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Strong customer service: excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good judgement, tact and sensitivity
  • Team player with proactive and flexible approach, able to work with multiple priorities and remain calm at busy times
  • Able to work independently and in an accurate and planned manner, with strong attention to detail
