Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to a student with SEN, both in the classroom and during other activities.
Assist the student with their learning, ensuring they understand instructions and complete tasks to the best of their ability.
Adapt and modify materials and resources to meet the individual needs of the student.
Monitor and track the student's progress, recording observations and feedback for evaluation.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals involved in the student's education, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to ensure consistent support.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering the student's independence and selfconfidence.
Manage any behavioural issues that may arise, using appropriate strategies and techniques.
Ensure the student's safety and wellbeing at all times, taking into consideration any specific health or medical needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
Strong understanding of various special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or speech and language difficulties.
Knowledge of different strategies and interventions to support students with SEN.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the student.
Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
