Description
A main contractor is recruiting a General Foreman for several waste water projects starting around Petersfield in early 2023.

The business delivers projects up to £200m across the UK in highways, water and infrastructure for governing bodies and privatesector clients with the additional security of long term work with Southern Water on the South Coast.


The schemes will vary in value up to £15m and consist of upgrading the existing assets to improve capacity and efficiency.

The civils work includes constructing new storage tanks, deep drainage, gantry walkways, processing units and general facility upgrades.


Following completion of this project the business has plenty more work in Hampshire and West Sussex on behalf of Southern Water on the AMP7 Framework.


General Foreman duties include:

  • Ordering plant, labour and materials
  • Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
  • Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices
  • Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
  • Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
  • Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
