Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintain executive schedules, including appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain filling systems, both electronic and physical.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as processing invoices and expense reports.
- Coordinate office events and meetings, including, catering, and logistics.
- Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, organising office space, and managing office equipment.
- Assist with specific projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Uphold the aims and objectives of Borashabaa as a Charity.
- Provide individualised support and case management services to refugees, assessing needs, developing action plans, and making appropriate referrals to accredited services.
- Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably requested for the success of the Bora Shabaa projects.
Requirements:
- GCSE in English and Maths with a high standard of written English
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fastpaced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with basic bookkeeping tasks is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
- Familiarity with office management software (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365)
- A recognised qualification (e.g. AAT Level 2 or above)
- Experience coordinating travel arrangements.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
