Supervisor & Drainage Operative(s)

Rail

Location - Cumbernauld, Scotland

(various sites around Scotland)

We currently have permanent/staff opportunities for a Supervisor and 3 x Drainage Operatives within our Scotland Business Unit, supporting asset management/maintenance works and projects across the region including but not limited to general civil engineering projects and rail".

Business Unit


A busy and fast paced project and maintenance environment involving in a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, working for a varied range of clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail and Environmental.

Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as:

Highways & Roads, underbridges, overbridges and footbridges, tunnels, flood alleviation & repairs, earthworks & embankments and rail platforms and station infrastructure etc.


We currently have a number of live infrastructure projects and long term renewals and maintenance frameworks underway including Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF) and a Slabtrack framework.


The Role


We currently have various permanent / staff positions available across Scotland for 3 x Drainage Operatives and a Site Supervisor with safety critical experience in the rail industry.


  • Operate and carry out job set tasks.
  • Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements.
  • Use best/safe practice on all tasks carried out Checks on any equipment that may use.
  • Ensure safe tidy place of work.
  • Ensure the completion of works is on time.
  • Implement best practice procedures.
  • Maximise use of own working time.
  • Ensure signed up to all permits and briefings before commencing any work.
  • Communication with site management.
  • Communicate with site supervisor on any concerns.
  • Feedback to site management with near miss reporting.
  • Ensure attend all site briefings and forums.

Requirements:

To excel in this/these positons, you will have previous railway experience as a Supervisor or Drainage Operative.


Ideally you will have a valid PTS and must be able to demonstrate the requisite experience in the rail industry with associated competencies / certification as appropriate to the role you are interested in.
