Every day at Allarton in Glasgow, our team provides support and accommodation for adults experiencing mental health issues.


We work with them to plan, shape and deliver the support they need which may include attending activities in the wider community or within the service on a group or a one-to-one basis.


Such as teaching them how to deal with their laundry and look after their clothing or helping to select a balanced and nutritious diet of their choice.

It can be pretty challenging at times but working as part of our support team, your support will definitely make the difference.

What do you need? No direct experience is required. It's more a positive approach and a genuine interest in helping others in a practical way. Experience of supporting people in their own homes would be an advantage. A qualification in Social Care would be ideal but it's not essential.


In return you will get a role where you can build strong direct relationships with your clients and the team around you as well as gain valuable experience working in a social care environment and as this is a relief role you will have great flexibility to work around your other commitments.


As we do our work in Christ's name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.


This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.

You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.


We have a legal obligation to ensure that it does not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK.
