Page Personnel is partnering with a successful business who are always on the look out for Assistant Management Accountants to join their accountancy team on a full time permanent basis.


Client Details
Our client is a successful retail business based in Southampton who are always looking to grow. They would require travel to their offices.


Description
As the Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Monthly preparation (distribution of central costs, accruals, prepayments, P&L variance analysis) of Management Accounts for Central Overheads Teams, Central Food Teams and Central Infrastructure for review of Management Accountant
  • Monthly reconciliations of relevant balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of required monthly board pack commentaries for review by the Management Accountant
  • Business Partner Heads of Department and provide any support/information required
  • Preparation for quarterly re forecasting and annual budgets in line with agreed approach
  • Assist in preparation of year end statutory accounts
  • Streamline daily/monthly tasks where possible to aid more value added activities
  • Support where required for Management Accountant

Profile
To be successful for the Assistant Management Accountant role you must:

  • AAT qualified/finalist and studying towards CIMA/ACCA
  • Proven ability to challenge and influence line management when necessary
  • Proven experience in month end reporting processes and financial planning
  • Ability to understand detailed financial information to build and maintain personal credibility to work and communicate with non financial colleagues at all levels
  • Analytical skills with an aptitude and willingness to get into the detail
  • Team player and proven communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Excel supported by generally high levels of IT literacy

Job Offer
**Salary £25,000 - £35,000
