Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Clinical Effectiveness Advisor to work across the Trust to help ensure safe, effective and high-quality health care.


You will be part of the Clinical Effectiveness Team and will have the opportunity to work with clinical and non-clinical colleagues across the Trust's services.

You will be involved in clinical audits, quality improvement projects and workshops to help review and support the quality of the care that CLCH provides.

You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and a strong team worker. You will also be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload when required.


The team has a base in Milne House, Paddington, but you will be required to work across a variety of the Trust's sites based on the project you are working on.


The role of the Clinical Effectiveness Advisor will be to work within the Clinical Effectiveness Team to support the Trust's clinical effectiveness programme.


Specifically, the Clinical Effectiveness Advisor will:

Support the development, promotion, delivery and reporting of the Trust's clinical effectiveness programme, working with members of the Clinical Effectiveness Team (the "CET"), clinicians and other Trust staff in accordance with the Trust's policies and strategies.

Liaise with key stakeholders across the organisation including within the divisions and corporate central services and external partners.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of projects within the clinical effectiveness programme.

Support the design, set up and running of clinical effectiveness projects, including clinical audits and service evaluations.

Support in monitoring activity and compliance of divisions and services across the various work streams.

Help educate and advise staff about best practice in clinical effectiveness and audit.

  • Organise and maintain Trust systems used within the CET.
  • Act as a first point of contact for queries coming into the team and respond proactively.
  • Gain a good understanding and technical use of the Trust's online audit tool (AMaT)
  • Support the CE Team in setting up and running clinical effectiveness projects, including audits, service evaluations, studies linked projects, and NICE guidance compliance
  • Produce automated reports and assist in quality assuring the output and provide initial advice to colleagues about the relevant reports.
  • Coordinate and participate in relevant meetings, reporting attendance and providing concise meeting minutes and action
  • Carry out timely and accurate information analysis and reporting on agreed areas of
  • Organise and provide administrative support for CET projects and meetings.
  • Support the CET's responsiveness by producing and disseminating governance materials (e.g. agenda, minutes, actions).
  • Diary management for CET leads.
  • Establish and maintain effective and efficient administrative processes and systems for the CET Team.
  • Support the planning and organisation of workshops and events.
