Job Outline
You will provide support to ensure all business and administrative processes are delivered in line with Project Priorities and Ambitions and contribute to the continuous growth and improvement of services provided by the Elim Befriending Service (EBS)

You will report to the Project Co-Ordinator.

Key duties and responsibilities as detailed below.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide clerical/ administrative support to, and liaise with, the Project Co-Ordinator.
  • General administrative duties including maintaining volunteer and service user information.
  • Preparing letters, memos, reports and any other relevant correspondence using a variety of Microsoft office software packages.
  • To attend and take minutes of meetings as required, ensuring the service provides and retains accurate evidence of discussions and decisions of meetings.
  • Input and recording information onto various digital platforms including updating of the service's Facebook page and website.
  • Financial transactions including the reconciliation of petty cash, processing, and payment of invoices; ensuring all receipts are in order and submitted to the EBS Finance Officer on a monthly basis.
  • Liaise and regularly meet with the Project Co-Ordinator and other partner agencies.
  • To design and produce leaflets, posters and use social and other media to gain support and use opportunities to promote the Befriending Service.
  • To attend EBS Management Meetings out with working hours approximately 45 times a year.
  • Respond to unplanned service demands, incorporating a flexible approach and ability to assess and prioritise workload whilst working to deadlines.
  • Comply with Health & Safety at Work procedures and any relevant legislation and to ensure that safe systems of work are always used.
  • Any other duties as appropriate as required by management.

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Salary:
From £9.50 per hour

  • Motherwell, ML1 2TN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
