Role Description
Role Title:
Early Intervention Outreach Worker
Role Purpose:
To provide appropriate outreach support and strategies for families to safeguard and enhance
the lives and learning of all children, including those with special needs, disabilities and disadvantage.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- To help deliver a structured programme of outreach and support through home visits and Centre activities
- To support the Outreach Team Lead to ensure the best possible provision of resources for positive outcomes for children and families, according to need
- To give advice, guidance, information and support to parents, carers and families
- To provide practical and emotional support for parents, carers and families
- To provide early intervention support with regard to families on Family Plans including Child in Need and
- To help monitor activities for quality and evaluation with other staff in line with best practice identified by the Centre
- To organise and support developmental play and communication strategies for parents and carers through running groups and individual work with families
- To work with senior staff in providing the best possible outcomes to enhance each child's future opportunities
- To liaise and provide feedback to senior members of staff on specific children regarding all aspects of emotional and educational requirements, in all aspects of the EYFS curriculum
- To provide records of services provided which help support monitoring required in accordance with charity funders
- To liaise with other agencies, according to need, to provide the best possible support for each child, in conjunction with other members of the Cirencester Opportunity Group team
- Support the Early Intervention remit by writing evidencebased reports including Safeguarding
- To support accurate record keeping of data relating to children, families and safeguarding
- A flexible approach to working hours within the team
Overall
- Contribute to the development of the Service as part of the Team
- Feedback and communicate regularly with line manager responsible for relevant area of business, keeping others informed appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Attend and take a full and active role in decision making processes as part of the Team
- Develop the role in consultation with line manager responsible for performance and development
- Ensure CPD and learning is maintained and reflects the role and responsibilities of the post
- Contribute fully to the performance management system for the organisation
- Any other duties that meet with current needs and developments of the business that skills and aptitudes match

- Outreach Team Lead
- Centre Manager
Supervision responsibilities
- All Early Intervention employees engaged in service delivery for the areas of work for which the role is responsible

- Satisfactory clearance by Disclosure and Barring Service and any other statutory body necessary to work with children and vulnerable people
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
Up to £8,141.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cirencester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- social work: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- HCPC (preferred)
