The starting salary for this role is £27,897 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. Part time/ Term time only will also be considered.


Our innovative and supportive school based Speech and Language Therapy service is looking for an
Senior Team Administrator to support the speech and language therapy team with an interesting mix of administrative duties.

About the Service


The School-Aged Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service is part of Surrey County Council's local SEND offer, working collaboratively in the Inclusion & Additional Needs team in Surrey Children, Schools and Families Directorate, with other teams like educational psychology, and specialist teachers.


We aim to deliver the right support at the right time, through assessment and intervention, and by equipping families and professionals with the skills and resources to work together to help and support children with SLCN.


About the Role


The main aim of the role is to support the smooth functioning of the team by participating in a range of activities.

You will be directly supporting the SLT Service Manager and the 5 SLT leads with tasks associated with performance management, financial management and managing an inbox for the service as well as other activities to support the wider team with researching information as requested.


Your main duties in the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the SLT inbox and disseminating information
  • Managing referrals and uploading documents to the case management system
  • Managing and maintaining databases
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Note taking
  • Communicating with parents and schools
  • Experience and understanding of working with Speech and Language Therapy, Education, health, or charity environment, working with people with disabilities.
  • Proven administrative experience in key areas described above.
  • Proven strong skills in communicating, networking and collaboration.
  • Patience, respect, and empathy when supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people and carers.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
