About The Role:

The Finance Team require a Transaction Centre Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract for maternity cover.

This role is a 37 hours per week full time role which offers hybrid working with the expectation of 2 office days based within Magenta Living's head office in Birkenhead.

Reporting into the Transaction Centre Supervisor you will play an important role at the heart of the finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring processing supplier invoices, bank transactions, and bank and supplier statement reconciliations.

It is an opportunity to do a varied role that supports not only our customers and suppliers but the wider organisation.


The Role

  • To be responsible for the pursuance of arrears on miscellaneous income accounts. The aim is to have customers clear the debts on their accounts. This is achieved by monitoring a portfolio of accounts, seeking immediate repayment and negotiating repayment arrangements and progressing cases where arrears are increasing through the company's arrears policy.
  • To be responsible for the supply of goods and services to the organisation by operating all aspects of the Ordering and Payment systems. This is achieved by ensuring orders are placed in advance for all good and services, following financial guidelines and keeping supplier accounts up to date through regular reconciliation.
  • To be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all general ledger activities. This is achieved by reconciliations and accurate data provided to the Financial Accountant and supporting services or departments.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • You will need to show experience of working in a busy office environment and its associated skills, operating to strict time scales and communicating at all levels to resolve financial disputes.


You will be someone with a positive and enthusiastic personality with a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail and positively contribute to the role and team you work in.

The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work is essential and to be able to work with colleagues of all levels, both internal and external.

Good verbal and written communication skills are a must and ideally you will be fully proficient in all aspects of Microsoft office.


We do support agile/flexible working however you will be expected to attend the office regularly for scheduled meetings and to work collaboratively with other areas of the business, and our partners.
