Senior Test Engineer (NoSQL)

London

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or control the development of test specifications/test cases/ sets of regression tests,
- timely manner.

  • Build test schedules and ensure followthrough so that deadlines for testing completion are met.
  • Participate in requirements/design reviews of new products to ensure testability and becomeacquainted with new products.
  • May propose and lead the implementation of process improvement efforts.
  • Supervise test execution and verification/validation phase, followup all problemscaptured/reported, provide input for reports and followup change requests.
  • Will have the opportunity to propose and lead the development of test automation tools.
  • Can followup all aspects of the pilot testing of software in customers' environment.
  • Design test plans for multiplephase projects of high complexity. Write and execute test cases ofmultiplephase projects, analyze and log results.

Required Technical Skills

  • 5 to 8 years; 3 years of experience in testing in a testing and/or development environment
  • Language: Java, Shell scripting

Database technologies - preferably NoSQL DBs:

  • Operating System: RHEL
  • Strong Linux skills
  • Conversant with agile methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, confluence, Bitbucket/GIT, Nexus, Maven, Gradle.

Desired Technical Skills

  • Usage of Jira and Confluence
  • Design, develop and implement test and deployment automation with Ansible
  • Exposure to container technology
  • Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge on Kafka
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
