MLC Partners are working with a highly reputable accountancy practice based in Harrow. Our client is seeking talented Tax Professionals to join a fast-growing Tax Team. If you are a recently qualified/ nearly qualified (CTA) Semi Senior that is looking to makethe step up to Tax Senior, then this could be the role for you

The Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing a mixed portfolio of clients which include Sole Traders, Trusts and Partners
  • Working in line with compliance and to a high standard
  • Ensure that you are delivering a highquality service to all your clients
  • Be at the forefront of maintaining client relationships/ building relationships with new clients
  • Answering all client queries and supporting them with their questions
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns
  • Ensuring that you are always working in line with the provision of Tax compliance service to a portfolio of clients and making sure that all tax filings and tax payments are dealt with on a timely basis
  • Always improving knowledge of Tax affairs and ensuring you are consistently up to date with technical knowledge to ensure you are always providing the best service to clients
  • To be able to manage work in progress
  • Assist in the training, development and mentoring of junior members of staff
  • Be involved in the written negotiation of HMRC enquiries

Experience/Qualifications:

  • CTA Fully Qualified/ Close to completion | ATT qualified
  • Ideally at least 4 years working within a Tax Role
  • Great communication skills are pivotal due to the clientfacing nature of the role; both verbal and written
  • Must be able to communicate with and liaise with clients and other staff members
  • Must have sight of a career in Tax and be keen to keep developing knowledge
  • Proficient IT skills; Microsoft packages
  • Excel, Word
  • Organisation skills are key to maintain workload and plan the week ahead
