Job description

Role Title:

Casual Theatre Technician
Reports to:Technical Manager
Hours: Casual
Salary:


  • £11.90 per hour Mon-Sun :00
- £23.80 per hour 00:00-08:00 (if pre-agreed, main house only)
- £17.85 per hour Public and Bank Holidays
- £41.20 get-out rate, where applicable

  • Minimum call one hour, 15min prorata thereafter
    Location:
Bromley, located on the High Street walking distance from Bus & Train stations.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

  • The casual Theatre Technician role is vital to the success of our business. The postholder plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of our shows to ensure our visiting companies receive a high level of service.

As the postholder is responsible for:

  • Assist in the preparation and running of shows/events
  • Moving scenery and equipment during productions working with lighting, sound and special effects
  • Maintain Health and Safety and Fire Safety procedures
  • Support with "get ins" and "get outs" with all aspects of the productions including lighting, sound and rigging
  • Collaborate with all visiting producers and artists to promote good customer relations
This is not an exhaustive list of duties.

From time to time you may be required to undertake alternative or additional duties which will commensurate your skills, experience, and capabilities.


ABOUT YOU

  • As a Theatre Technician professional with significant experience in the theatre, music or liveentertainment space, you'll be selfmotivated and engaging.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • We are looking for individuals that can work as part of a team and individually to achieve excellent customer service and to deliver our values: creativity, collaboration, excellence, and respect.
  • Passion for theatre / live entertainment
  • Knowledge of technical theatre/theatre craft from an accredited institute along with understanding of protocols
such as DMX, ETC EOS software QLAB and digital sound decks

  • Able to work safely at heights using ladders, telescopes and from lighting bridges
  • Understanding of Health and Safety
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Great team spirit
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Highly motivated
