Description

We are seeking a Trainee Marine Purchaser to join our team, offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of the ever-changing marine industry.

The Trainee Marine Purchaser will play a vital role in sourcing, processing, and delivering spare parts, stores, provisions, and service requisitions on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working within the purchasing team, you will be responsible for:

  • Prioritising daily purchasing requirements

Managing Port Activity documentation for the fleet

Communicating regularly with agents and suppliers globally

Collaborating with freight forwarders to ensure smooth freight schedules

Supporting departmental record-keeping

Developing an understanding of vessels OPEX budgets

This role is pivotal in a dynamic setting that values organization, efficiency, strong communication, and solid administrative skills. Proactivity and attention to detail are crucial due to the role's nature.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
