Assembly/Test Technician

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly/Test Technician to begin work for a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic tools.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Sales Team Leader to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the business/factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the correct assembly, testing, painting (where required) and finishing of the production batch within the accepted time limits and quality requirements, as defined by the Company.
All documentation to be completed accurately and eligibly, anomalies on the bill of materials or nonconformances to be reported to the Assembly Shop Supervisor.
Demonstrate build or assembly techniques if required and safely conduct actions at all times in a professional manner.
Responsible for high levels of housekeeping, not only around own work area but also across the whole department.
As dictated within the appropriate risk assessments work in a safe manner with consideration for other employees and wear required PPE without exception.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Ensure compliance with Company rules and all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.

Experience:

Hands
on manufacturing assembly experience is required, ideally within a similar industry
2 years relevant mechanical/electrical fitting experience for higher level
Excellent communications skills able to liaise with different departments
Willing and able to take responsibility with minimum supervision.
High level of attention to detail.
