The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

What You'll Do:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students feel valued and empowered.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies and accommodations.
- Assist with academic tasks, ensuring students are engaged and making progress in their learning.
- Support students' social and emotional development, promoting positive relationships and selfesteem.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher and contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of students' progress and achievements.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of different SEN conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
