The primary function of Goods In/Out is to work closely with various departments across the business to support the company's retail, hire and service operations in a combined department, with a two-way movement of goods.
Accuracy is key to ensure that goods are checked on delivery and stored in the right areas, as well as record-keeping and stock checking.
THE ROLE:
The Role reports to the Service Team Manager and will involve the following:
- Being the main point of contact for relevant stakeholders, including courier partners
- Receipt goods in from suppliers using either bar code scanners or manual input onto SAP
- Allocation of goods to relevant departments
- Adding stock to the correct location in stores
- Checking the correct parts are received against the original purchase order
- Highlighting any quantity errors on delivery notes versus purchase orders
- Receipting in returned Hire instruments from our customers onto SAP
- Inspection of returned Hire instruments, to ensure all parts are returned correctly
- Receipting in all Service instruments
- Arranging Sales, Hire and Service deliveries and collections with delivery partners
- Allocating correct shipping details to various types of goods
- Periodic stock checks and stock taking
- Carrying out additional duties as and when required.
THE PERSON
- Ideally, previous experience working in a warehouse/logistics or related environment
- Ideally, experience with shipping Dangerous Goods (batteries, calibration gas etc)
- Experience of Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Good initiative and a quick learner
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes and check against procedures
- Selfmotivated, good initiative and high level of energy
- Resourcefulness
- Ability to question and find the best solution
- Proactive, 'can do' attitude

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) FOR THE ROLE
Will be identified and agreed with the successful applicant, following an offer of employment.

WORKING HOURS
This is a full-time position and working hours are normally Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday 08:30 to 16:00.
