West Sussex Music Trust is looking to recruit a reliable stores assistant to help in our busy stock room of c.7,000 musical instruments.

Part time - min. 8 hours/week (Tuesday & Wednesday mornings)

£10.75/hr
This role involves working closely with the Stores Manager and duties include:

Preparing musical instruments for dispatch via courier. This involves checking condition, some basic maintenance, servicing and cleaning of instruments and accessories/cases (full training given)
Ensuring that the correct labelling is on all instruments for dispatch
Receiving instruments back into the stores
Some basic computer data entry/admin is required (training will be given)
Keeping the music store tidy and other general housekeeping duties, including maintaining health and safety standards at all times
A knowledge of music/instruments is helpful but not essential for this role. Full training will be provided

This is a physical role so applicants must be fit and able to perform manual duties

Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings are required during term time as a minimum and extra hours will be available at other times throughout the year for holiday cover etc.

This post is being offered on a permanent part-time basis - with the potential for more than 8 hours/week during peak term times so the ability to be flexible is desirable.
