We are looking for a
Data Scientist to join our
Statistics and Data Management team on a full time, permanent contract.

The role will be based at our Innovation Centre in
Bedford, UK with the option for
Hybrid Working.


The
Data Scientist will be responsible for analysing complex data from numerous sources to understand both biological phenomena and usage characteristics related to In Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs).

The analysis will be used to develop new productconcepts, algorithms for use in products and identify opportunities to improve current products.


We are looking for someone who can work with stakeholders to determine analysis requirements and strategic needs regarding SPDs "big data". Define analysis plans for complex data and undertake the analysis set out in plans. Conduct exploratoryanalyses to identify potential opportunities. Develop new algorithms that can be applied to IVDs. Present, both verbally and in writing, findings to the business and at scientific meetings. Monitor cloud data to identify any real-time issues and work accordingto GMP and GCP (where required).


We are looking for someone who has a degree in a scientific discipline, and additional post-graduate qualifications in data analysis, specifically data mining and statistical modelling. Previous industry experience in big data analysis.
Knowledge of SAS and SQL. Experience in analysing mobile phone app data collected in the cloud and excellent oral and written presentation skills.

You must have the right to work in the UK on a full-time, permanent basis.
