The Growth Company's (GC) Employment team are looking for a Restart Employment Advisor h to deliver a range of guidance and training services for unemployed people, and contribute to individuals' progression into employment, training and education.


We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.


Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.

We work with employers on their recruitment and skills needs to help place people into high quality sustainable jobs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Meeting with jobseekers, identifying any challenges and barriers with finding employment.
  • Booking jobseekers to any relevant training courses including customer service, security, hospitality, personal development, IT literacy and many others.
  • Liaising with employers to identify any employment opportunities for the jobseekers.
  • Promoting the Growth Company within the local community.

Skills required:


  • Able to demonstrate coaching/mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills through previous work or social activities.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment for example Customer Services, Hospitality, Social Care, Customer Services, Sales, Retail.
  • Experience of working in a performance target driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel locally (e.g. to meet customers/employers).
  • Experience of exposure to various customer groups.
  • Previous experience of a working in a similar role in Welfare to Work or publicly funded services is desirable.
