Position overview

:


As the Chemical Process Operations Supervisor you will ensure safe working practices on chemical handling are followed (occupational safety, environmental and fire protection).

You will set and manage the technical performance criteria for the CPO process, and ensure that established routines and working methods are adhered to in order to achieve the correct production quality in the can washing process.

You will also oversee the water treatment, wastewater area and emulsion system based on specified standards.


Your key responsibilities will include

:


  • Special attention to the requirements of occupational safety, hygiene, environmental and fire protection.
  • Continually review the quality of the process with a view of continuous improvement.
  • Operation coordination with principal suppliers.
  • Introduce 'Best Practice' Mechanical and Chemical techniques are introduced and maintained.
  • Organization and control of preventive maintenance, servicing and repairs.
  • Ensuring an efficient, continuous production process.
  • Responsibility for maximizing the use of production equipment.
  • Responsible for and running special projects as determined by management.
  • Developing solutions for performance improvement and problemsolving
  • Participate in special projects determined by management.
  • Creating a working atmosphere based on trust and ensuring a high level of employee motivation.
  • CPO responsible for test equipment.
  • Decisionmaking authority for measures in the case of quality and performance problems in consultation with the respective Shift Manager, Quality Department & Technical Department.

Experience and skills required

:


  • Experience in manufacturing industry in a similar role within Chemical Processing
  • Knowledge of standard plant quality assurance techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of plant quality assurance tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills across functions and seniority levels
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and make recommendations
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
