Howdens are recruiting a Site Services Support Co-ordinator to join our engineering team at our manufacturing site in Runcorn, Cheshire.

As a Site Services Support Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for contractor control, permit writing, organising work and liaising with contractors across the site.

Reporting to the Site Facilities Manager, you will ensure we maintain compliant with UK HASAWA and work in line with our site safety policy.

What you'll be doing

Liaising with the engineering leadership and supervisory teams, ensuring compliance with statutory engineering systems, including all electrical legislation, fixed installation testing, portable appliance testing and any other associated maintenance requirements
Ensuring that the infrastructure of the facilities are maintained to the required levels
Maintaining the list of pressure vessels and therefore ensuring compliance with testing and certification adhering to the WSE
Coordinating the site compressed air contractors and systems including adherence to the PSSR
Arranging the maintenance of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Systems
Supporting the Facilities Manager with regards to the maintenance of buildings, offices and structural integrity, land and roads
Supporting the SHE team with site environmental aspects and impact action plans
Reviewing site risk assessments annually and in line with any changes

What we're looking for...

Time served engineering apprenticeship
Solid understanding of permit practices and risk assessment
Experience of or trained in reading and interpreting RAMS
Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities
Ability to build solid working relationships and effectively communicate at any level
People focused and lead by example, take pride in delivering results through others
